This Fragrance Brand Is The First Of Its Kind - WOW
I was only telling a friend recently how bad my memory has gotten, yet certain smells always trigger old vivid memories for me. I have a few perfumes that remind me of specific periods in my life, and every time I spray them I'm taken back to the job I had at that time, or the house I was living in.
As it turns out, studies have shown that smells have a stronger link to memory and emotion than any of the other senses. This is thanks to the way our brain uniquely processes smells, which can tightly link specific smells with a particular memory or emotion.
Anyway, this is the exact reason I like to wear a unique perfume that not everyone else has. It might sound weird, but I don't want to smell like anyone else - that's why I love molecule perfumes like Hermetica.
What Is Hermetica?
Hermetica is a collection of alcohol-free molecular fragrances that rely on the chemical connection between the molecules within a fragrance and one’s skin to generate an individual scent on that person. In simple terms, these fragrances smell different on everyone.
These fragrances feature a blend of natural ingredients and synthetic molecules in a long-lasting scent that'll linger on your skin for an entire day, even though they're entirely alcohol-free (which is usually the component that contributes to the longevity of the scent).
Hermetica is also conscious of sustainability; each fragrance is presented in an emerald green lacquered bottle, made from recycled glass and sand sourced locally to the French manufacturer.
How Do I Choose The Right Scent For Me?
I can never go past a sample set (mainly because I love keeping sample vials in my handbag), and the Hermetica Discovery Kit is no exception. It contains all 13 fragrances in a beautifully presented display box which is perfect for gifting.
The 13 scents are divided into four fragrance families, plus the "source" which is a citrusy oriental blend that is used as a base throughout the collection to intensify layered scents.
If you like floral scents, Rosefire, Megaflower or Multilotus will be best suited to you. For those who like "green" scents, try Greenlion, Jade888 or Spiceair. If you prefer woody fragrances like me, I'd recommend Sandalsun, Cedarise and Patchoulight. And then to the orientals - your faves will be Amberbee or Vaninight.

This is honestly incredible. It smells rich and luxurious, not too heavy, not too light. I've seen this scent described as 'honeyed amber" which I think suits it well, while the bergamot helps to lift the scent and the vanilla adds depth. It's the perfect in-between. You could easily wear this during the day at work or on a night out.
